Power outage in Twin Lakes area

A power outage effecting in the Twin Lakes area is effecting some 792 Kenosha County residents, according to Alliant Energy.

No cause listed on the Alliant website, but we will ask. Anyone have an idea?

At about 6 p.m., a couple of tipsters have told us that the outage has been for about an hour so far.

UPDATE 6:46 p.m. — Alliant says only 554 effected now.

UPDATE 7:02 p.m. — Whoops. Up to 685 now.

UPDATE 7:22 p.m. — One of our tipsters says their power is on. Alliant website now says 933 without power in Kenosha County.

UPDATE 7:28 p.m. — Twin Lake police officer reports to dispatch that outage was caused by a problem at the substation on 368th Avenue and that work continues.

UPDATE 7:35 p.m. — Another tipster says their power is on now too.

UPDATE 7:41 p.m. — Alliant website power restored to all Kenosha County residents.

UPDATE Monday morning — Alliant spokesman says tree down on line was cause of outage.
