The Silver Lake Village Board approved a second spraying for weeds in Silver Lake at beach areas at its meeting Wednesday night.
Trustee Sue Gerber said there was sufficient money in the budget for the second application because $1,800 was budgeted, but the first application cost $599.73.
The village’s contractor, Lake and Pond Solutions, recommended a second application, Gerber said.
The village may be able to get an additional discount if it can coordinate its spraying with other treatments to take place on the lake.
