Longtime Bristol official, dairy farmer and community leader Noel Elfering dies

Noel Elfering

Noel Elfering, a lifelong dairy farmer, longtime Bristol town official and community leader died suddenly Monday at his property in Humbird, Wisconsin.

Elfering was 80 years old.

Elfering served as a member of the Bristol Town Board for many years, acting as supervisor for four years and chairman from 1975-1990, and currently served on the Board of Review for the village of Bristol.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St. (Highway 83) Antioch.

Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Saturday July 9,  at Holy Cross Church, 18700 116th. St. Bristol. Interment will follow in St. Scholastica Cemetery, Bristol.
