Wisconsin Lightning Fastpitch to host Battle of the Borders this weekend

On June 24, 25 and 26 Wisconsin Lightning Fastpitch is hosting its annual NSA Qualifying “Battle of the Borders” girl’s fast pitch softball scholarship tournament at Central High School’s Sorenson Fields, Salem Grade School and Wilmot High School. (Dates now corrected — DH)

Over 60 teams, from Wisconsin and Illinois, will be competing in 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U age groups.

All players within those 60 teams will be eligible to enter a $250 scholarship drawing at their age level. Through this tournament, Wisconsin Lightning Fastpitch will be giving a total combined award of $1750 in higher education scholarship money to these athletes.

Locally, Wisconsin Lightning Fastpitch has over 70 girls one 10U, one 12U, one 14U, two 16U and one 18U teams. With no admission charge for this event, Wisconsin Lightning Fastpitch invites you to come and enjoy the games.
