Bristol and Salem host joint safety fair


Bristol and Salem hosted their first joint safety fair today at Salem’s new Community Park.

The fair included displays and activities from the two municipalities public safety departments, fire departments, the sheriff’s department and other safety related entities such as Stand Tall Against Alcohol. The Foster Care Parents Association ran a concession stand.

Bristol has held a similar event the last two years, but Bristol Public Safety Officer Mark Niederer and Salem Public Safety Officer David Shortess decided to combine forces this year. Next year, the fair will be held in Bristol.
