A word from our sponsors: IRA Outlaw sprints coming to Wilmot Raceway

The earth-shaking, ground pounding, 900 horsepower thunder of The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series invade the Wilmot Raceway this Saturday night May 28.

Memorial Day weekend and auto racing are synonomous, and this year is no different as Wilmot Raceway offers its’ first special event of the 2011 race season. The best of the Midwest, The IRA Outlaw Sprints are coming to the Kenosha County Fair’s Wilmot Raceway this Saturday night.

Mike Kertscher was victorious twice in Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series competition at the Wilmot Raceway in 2010. Mike is one of 35 IRA Sprints pre-entered for this Saturday night’s Wayne Daun / AL & Marie Winker Memorial at Wilmot. Wayne Daun and Al & Marie Winker were tremendous supporters of sprint car racing over the years at Wilmot, and all were from the Kenosha area. Their memory lives on as Wilmot and IRA salute them each and every year with their Memorial race.

Joining the action Saturday will be the Don’s Auto & Machine Modifieds, and the RA Adams Enterprises Street Stocks completing the high speed triple threat. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., grandstands at 5 p.m., with qualifying scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
