The National Weather Service has issud a severe thunderstorm warning for an area that includes Kenosha County.
The warning is effective until 4 p.m.
According to a scanner transmission from the Emergency Management Office, severe storms are occurring near Wonder Lake, Illinois are and are moving northeast at about 15 miles per hour.
UPDATE 3:29 p.m. — Seeing some distant lightning in Paddock Lake. Thunder now too.
UPDATE 4:01 p.m. — Emergency Management says the warning is now in effect until 4:30 p.m. Severe storms at Fox Lake, Ill. and moving northeast at 25 mph.
UPDATE 5:04 p.m. — Radar shows storms have moved on, but there’s more to the west and southwest.
