Lakewood School will be hosting its first 5K race on June 4.
The proceeds from the event benefit a technology upgrade at the school.
The “Striding into Summer 5K” is the first of its kind in Twin Lakes. Please be sure to sign up before June 2, 2011 for a discounted rate.
Community members pay $20, area teachers pay $17 and students pay $15. Children ages 4-8 can participate in a 100-yard dash for free.
The first 100 registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt and race bag, so be sure to sign up soon because the race is filling up fast.
