Registration for Salem’s new summer recreation program will be held Saturday, May 7 and Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to noon at Salem Town Hall, 9814 Antioch Road.
The town, in partnership with 5 Star Sports is excited to offer summer sports camps this year. The camps are focused on physical activity, skill building, and fun.
Camps will be held at the campus of the Salem Grade School District, located at the intersection of Highways 83 and AH. A brochure explaining all offerings and fees is available here.
Camps are open to all Town of Salem residents and offer programs for youth entering the first grade to those entering the eighth grade. Participants that live outside the borders of the Town of Salem will be charged a non-resident rate.

Full payment for each session is required at registration. Cash, checks, credit and debit cards will be accepted.
Coaches and instructor applications will be accepted during registration.
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
The idea for setting up a summer recreation program as an effort to take up some of the gap left by two of the local school districts decision to cancel summer school this year originated with the town Park Commission. The Town Board gave its approval with going ahead with the program last month.
