The Fall Festivus hosted the last two years at Twin Lakes’ Legion Park will return this year, but with one big change.
This year, the event will not include a softball tournament as it has for the last two years, according to information submitted by American Legion Post 544 to the village.
This year’s Fall Festivus will take place Sept. 9, 10 and 11.
Activities so far will include:
- Music.
- Food and drink.
- Kids amusements.
- Pumpkin and face painting.
- Silent auction.
- Soap box derby.
- Car show.
- Parade.
- Movie in the Park.
- 5K run (on Sunday).
- Craft show.
The legion post is looking for the village to provide some services, including a police escort for the 5K run, street control during the parade, closing of Legion Drive during the soap box derby, some parking considerations and a three-day fermented beverages license.
