Brighton Bombers 4-H Club visits veterans

Members of the Kenosha County 4-H “Brighton Bombers” Club hosted an “ice cream social” at the Union Grove Veterans Home at “Boland Hall”.

]The veterans having served in WWII and Korea were treated to the ice cream social compliments of the 4-H club. The 4-H’ers took the opportunity to earn community credit by visiting these veterans who have so proudly served our country.

The veterans removed their caps as Emily Allen of the Brighton Bombers 4-H Club played the national anthem on the piano.

“It was really fun to sit and visit with the veterans and hear their stories” said Emily Allen, Brighton Bomber 4-H Club member.

Contact volunteer coordinator Andrea Lazenonni at 878-6756 for information on organizing a visit to the veteran’s home.
