Thinking about the opportunities in combining local food, farms and tourism? This win-win for local farmers and businesses will be the subject of the upcoming workshop open to Kenosha County residents on Agri-Culinary Tourism scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at VDB Organic Farms in Delavan.

Speaker Ann Dougherty of Learn Great Foods will discuss setting up culinary tours, and the economic benefits of culinary tours for local businesses, including farms, bed and breakfasts, restaurants and other local businesses. Additionally, she will discuss criteria and checklists that one needs to develop in order to manage a successful agri-culinary tour; marketing and promotion ideas; and how culinary tourism has changed in the last decade.

Costs to attend the program are $35/participant. In addition to the educational program, a local food dinner will be included with the registration fee. Please do consider registering early as the program is limited to 50 partipants.
