Woman dies after hitting tree in Bristol

A woman died as the result of a one-vehicle crash last night along Highway WG (State Line Road), Bristol.

Sgt. Bill Beth, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, issued the following statement:

Last night on April 14, 2011 at approximately 9:55 p.m. deputies responded to a serious single motor vehicle accident in the 17600 block (East of USH 45) of 128th Street (CTH WG), in the Village of Bristol. The vehicle appeared to have been westbound and failed to negotiate a slight curve in the roadway. There were no skid marks. The vehicle struck a large tree. The driver and single occupant of the vehicle, Mary Davellis, was thrown from the vehicle. She was not wearing her seatbelt. Davellis was transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital, but she did not survive her injuries. From the nature of the crash, speed does appear to have been a factor.”
