If you happened to be in downtown Lake Geneva Thursday morning, you may have noticed that Main Street was blocked off for a while. It wasn’t for an accident, but for a heating/cooling unit being installed on the roof of Champs.
Reliable Heating and Air Conditioning of Paddock Lake was the contractor. Reliable owner Rick Sheehan explains what was involved:
The project was for Champ’s Sports bar owners Chuck Loth and Greg Bush. The set up involved working with the city of Lake Geneva to divert traffic over to the east bound traffic lane and parking meter lane. Lake Geneva was very accommodating. Burmeister Excavating arrived with their crane at 5:30 a.m. and left at 6:30. The new unit is a Carrier 15 ton cooling capacity and 300,000 btu heating. Approx. weight is 1,700 pounds. Total time on the job — two days. Along with the new unit we added ducting in the building. There will be no problems keeping Champ’s customers comfortable throughout the year.”
