The Randall Town Board agreed Thursday to begin adding a $2 service charge for county dog park licenses it issues at the Town Hall in Bassett.
Some other municipalities that also sell the permits already add the charge.
The permits allow the bearer to use any of the dog parks in the county. One of those parks is in Randall. The other two are in Paddock Lake and Somers.
Town treasurer Carol Haas said the town has issued 56 permits since last July. She estimated that the permits take about 15 minutes to process including the application and accounting.
The measure passed the board unanimously.
“We aren’t going to get rich, but at least it’s something,” said Supervisor Bob Gehring.
