Units responding to pick-up versus tree crash

At about 10:20 p.m., deputies and Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to a report of a pick-up truck that has hit a tree in the 23200 block of Highway C, Salem.

UPDATE 10:30 p.m. — Deputy at scene reports two vehicles in south ditch.

UPDATE 10:32 p.m. — Deputy reports that one vehicle has major damage, is in an embankment and is sitting in about four feet of water.

UPDATE 10:34 p.m. — Deputy asks that Highway Department salt road because it is “pretty iced over” in that area.

UPDATE 10:41 p.m. — Dispatch reports that salt truck on the way.

    This crash was not on Hwy C. It was on stateline road. I saw the truck and other vehicle still in the water on my way to work this morning. Just an FYI in case someone gave you the wrong hwy.. I also take Hwy C, but this was definitely on stateline road, east of Hwy 45.
