Mr. Wilmot 2011 coverage

The annual Mr. Wilmot contest was held Thursday night at the Lance G. Haas Auditorium for the Performing Arts at Wilmot High School.

The full house watched the eight contestants perform in the categories of dance solo, casual wear, sports wear, vocal solo and talent.

In the end, Sean Meehan took top honors with Kerry John Kerros in second.

The event is great entertainment, but it also is a good work. Proceeds from last night’s program will be going to: Mayo Clinic for melanoma research in honor of Lance Haas (a teacher at Wilmot), Make-a-Wish in honor of Taylor Arena’s (a student at Wilmot) cousin, and the MACC Fund in honor of Ryan Luxem (his mother is a teacher at Wilmot).

This program is sponsored by the Information & Technologies Department and almost completely run by students under the adult supervision of  Travis Wetzel and Cheryl Kothe.
