Group for grieving children to resume in Twin Lakes Feb. 28

MargaretAnn’s Place, Wisconsin’s Center of Hope for Grieving Children, is pleased to announce that their Peer Support/Education Group for grieving children and their families residing in Western Kenosha and Racine counties will resume on Feb. 28 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Twin Lakes.

The group will continue to meet bi-weekly on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.

MargaretAnn’s Place provides children and teens (ages 3 to 18) with a safe place to express their profound feelings of grief following the death of someone close to them. It creates a positive impact in their lives by encouraging them to develop lifelong coping skills which will assist them in creating a healthy and productive future. A group for the children and teen’s adult caregivers is also available. MargaretAnn’s Place provides the peer support/education groups at no charge.

If you are interested in attending the Kenosha County group or have questions, please contact program director Kathy Schaetzke, at Kathy@margaretannsplace.org or 414-795-9390.

Peer Support/Education groups are also offered in Kenosha (1st Thursday), the Racine (3rd Thursday) and Milwaukee (1st & 3rd Monday).

MargaretAnn’s Place (MAP) provides support, education and awareness for children and their families who are grieving a death of a significant person in their lives.
