Snow Day redux: Schools announcing no classes for Thursday

We just received an automated call from Central High School announcing that classes are cancelled for Thursday, due to the intensity of the storm.

No signs of announcements from other districts, but generally they make a group decision on emergency closings. We will update if more announcements begin to come through.

UPDATE 3:45 p.m. — Wheatland Center School has announced classes are cancelled for Thursday due to the continuing clean-up and cold temperatures tonight. However, the announcement by principal Patti Clements says the school anticipates holding classes Friday as scheduled.

UPDATE 4 p.m. — Dousman Transport says all of their schools are closed tomorrow: Central High School, Salem, Bristol, Riverview, Lakewood, Trevor, Wilmot Primary and Wilmot Union High School.

UPDATE 4:13 p.m. — Salem School automated call confirms cancellation of classes Thursday and adds that parent/teacher conferences that day also will be rescheduled. However, conferences scheduled for Friday will take place at this point.

UPDATE 6:24 p.m. — Brighton School also closed Thursday per email notification, reports Jennifer Mitchell.

UPDATE 6:26 p.m. — Paris School also closed Thursday and all after school activities as well, per website announcement.
