Sgt. Bill Beth, spokesman for the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, had the following report on crashes on the roadways as of early afternoon:
As of 1:35 pm today KSD has had 3 injury accidents, 1 property damage accident, and 11 assist motorists (cars in ditch, stuck or broken down). So far the motoring public is doing a good job of keeping control.”
I was on the road from about 11: 30 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m. Conditions deteriorated noticeably in that time. Heading out roads were pretty good. On the way back, several roads had areas of snow overwash, both east-west and north-south roads.
Karen just got back from driving from Wilmot to Wheatland to Paddock Lake to Wilmot and back to Paddock Lake. Blowing was persistent everywhere. Snow seemed heavier ther further east she was, she said.
