Ryne Strom of Randall has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor attainable through the Boy Scouts of America. He is the son of David and Paula Strom, and a member of Boy Scout Troop 380.
In working toward the rank of Eagle Scout, Strom served as a Senior Patrol Leader and undertook a lake clean-up effort for his community service project. He organized a number of area underwater rescue teams to help clean up Lake Mary, and several local Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops in cleaning the shoreline along Lance Park in Twin Lakes. Altogether, there were about 45 participants who took part in the lake clean-up efforts.
State Rep. Samantha Kerkman and state Sen. Bob Wirch attended Strom’s Court of Honor and presented him with a citation on behalf of the Wisconsin State Legislature.
“I commend Ryne on a job well done in achieving the Rank of Eagle Scout,†said Rep. Kerkman. “He certainly has a bright future ahead of him and I wish him well in all of his future endeavors.â€
Strom is a senior at Badger High School in Lake Geneva. He will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire next year where he will major in Criminal Justice and enroll in the Army ROTC program.
