The National Weather Service has upped the ante again on the snow situation issuing a blizzard watch for all of Kenosha County Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Current forecasts for our area call for somewhere between 11 and 18 inches of snow (!) starting Monday and continuing through Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Further complicating the situation is forecasted blowing and drifting. The weather service says this storm is similar to the January 1999 storm that dropped 14 inches and resulted in drifts 4 to 8 feet (!!) high.
The biggest dump should come Tuesday night, with between 8 to 12 inches possible as of the 12:36 p.m. forecast today.
UPDATE 4:11 — The snow forecast continues to get higher! The 3:36 p.m. NWS forecast now calls for 14 to 22 inches (!!!!) of accumulation Monday through Wednesday.
