At 8:30 p.m. Silver Lake Rescue and Town of Wheatland Fire Department units along with sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash at Highway K and W.
Dispatch reports that person reporting the crash says a patient is bleeding, is having trouble breathing and is in the roadway with an ATV nearby.
UPDATE 8:34 p.m. — Fire/rescue personnel and deputies on the scene. Flight for Life medical transport helicopter has been put on standby.
UPDATE 8:39 p.m. — Flight for Life is in the air out of Milwaukee at request of rescue personnel. Deputies do not see any other involved vehicles. Department of Natural Resources being called to scene as well. Landing zone for helicopter being set up.
UPDATE 8:50 p.m. — Helicopter estimated time of arrival 10 minutes. Landing zone established.
UPDATE 9:21 p.m. — Flight for Life on the ground.
UPDATE 9:35 p.m. — Flight for Life in the air.
