Today should see milder temperatures than we have been seeing in recent days, but there’s a price to be paid. One to 3 inches of price, in fact.
The National Weather Service forecast is calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation today in the area. The high temperatue should climb up to 32.
We may get another inch of accumulation tonight.
The heaviest snow will be in the late morning into the late afternoon.
A greatly lessened chance of snow continues for Tuesday.
UPDATE 7:33 a.m. — Snow starting to fall in Paddock Lake now.
UPDATE 4:39 p.m. — I have been out and about in the snow quite a bit today. Here’s some of my observations. Measuring accumulation has been kind of tricky due to some drifting. The usually reliable West of the I weather railing accumulated virtually none. I turned to the back-up, the West of the I weather front stoop, where measurements varied between one inch and 2.75 inches. While shoveling the driveway around 3 p.m., the precipitation became noticeably wetter. As evidence, the south facing window of the West of the I mobile news gathering and parade exhibit vehicle was covered in ice. Gonna have to scrape that a bit before I head out to the Twin Lakes Village Board meeting tonight.
