Units responding for alarm investigation in Salem

At 11:24 a.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and sheriff deputies are responding to a report of a fire alarm sounding in a condo unit in the 25100 block of 87th Street.

UPDATE 11:26 a.m. — First personnel on scene reports no signs of fire showing from outside. Person who reported alarm believes no one is home at unit where alarm is sounding.

UPDATE 11:29 a.m. — Deputy reports to dispatch that a furnace vent may be charred, though there are no current signs of fire.

UPDATE 11:53 a.m. — Fire units beginning to return to quarters.
