He initially denied being in the area, but eventually came to the scene after being picked up by his girlfriend, the other owner of the rolled vehicle. After admitting to deputies that he was driving the car, traveling about 110 mph and struck the pole, he was charged with several traffic offenses, including driving too fast for conditions, failure to stop for a stop sign, hit and run property adjacent to a highway, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and failure to notify police of an accident. After being taken to the Kenosha County Jail, he complained of pain and was taken to a Kenosha hospital. He was checked by medical staff and found to be OK and was taken back to the jail.
