The Warren Close Bark Park off-leash dog park in Randall was dedicated today with a leash cutting cereomny that included the namesake himself.
The fenced dog facility is located off Highway F at the southern end of the still under development county park often referred to as the KD park.
Participating in the ceremony was Warren Close, who the park was named for after his daughter, Mary Ellen Close, donated $12,500 to the effort to build and equip the facility.
Here’s some video of the ceremony, which was led by County Executive Jim Kreuser.
Development of the park was funded by $25,000 raised by the public matched with $25,000 supplied by the county from revenue it receives from the Pheasant Run landfill in Paris.
