Western Kenosha County Tennis Association elects new officers

The Western Kenosha County Tennis Association elected a new board of directors at their Annual Meeting on Monday, Nov. 15 at Central High School.

Officers for 2011 are:

  • President-Bob Ferruzzi.
  • Vice President-Chuck Werve.
  • Treasurer-Kathy Christenson.
  • Secretary-Pat Brings.
  • Past-President-Paul Brings.

Directors at Large  and Students Directors are:

  • Reagan Anderson.
  • Alex Ferruzzi.
  • Ken Krenz.
  • Renee Anderson.
  • Denise and Jody Hammond.
  • Aly O’Dell.
  • Lisa Mitchell.
  • Keeley Denton.
  • Chuck Denton.

The association was organized in December 2008 to support and grow the game of tennis in Western Kenosha County. This past year the organization and 70 community volunteers provided tennis programs for over 600 participants ages 5 to 18. With the addition of new courts at Central High School, the organization hopes to expand programs for 2011.

Potential additions include a Middle School Camp, Open Hitting for High School Players, USTA Traveling Tennis team ages 11-14, and Adult Open Practice/Play. The programs are made possible by grants, donations and minimal program fees. Tax deductible donations of any size are welcome.
