The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for northern Kenosha County. It is in effect until 4:30 p.m.
Warning sirens did sound in the Paddock Lake area.
A confirmed tornado was spotted in McHenry County near Richmond. There also may have been a tornado in northern Kenosha County Joint Services Dispatch reported.
Students were held at Salem and Lakewood schools, perhaps others. Trevor School buses left, but returned to the school when warning sirens sounded.
UPDATE 4:13 p.m. Deputies at Highways 50 and B and Lily Lake are reporting heavy rain and darkness. Dispatch reports heavy structural damage to buildings in Union Grove in Racine County.
UPDATE 4:32 p.m. — Report received that Salem School buses are now loading.
UPDATE 5:19 p.m. — Warning was let to expire at 4:30 p.m. and watch has now been canceled too.
