Sheriff David Beth presented awards today to deputies and community members who have demonstrated exceptional service to the mission of the department.
Deputy Tim Hackbarth was recognized for his part in arresting two fugitives from Illinois in a incident in April in Bristol:
Deputy Keith Fonk was recognized for the same call as Hackbarth (Sheriff Beth shares different details however):
Alan Kaddatz of PATS Services, New Munster, received an award on behalf of his company for providing services — portable bathrooms in this case — for the department when needed, even on short notice. Such a case was in June when a search for a suspect who fled a traffic stop along Highway 50 allegedly showing a gun to an officer resulted in a massing of officers and media at the scene:
Trevor Hall of Zion was recognized for his role in assisting in a water rescue at Silver Lake County Park:
Nicole Bollinger of Zion was recognized for her role in assisting in the same water rescue at Silver Lake County Park:
