Central played tough to the end but lost in the semifinals of the state boys volleyball tournament this afternoon.
In the end Catholic Memorial was too powerful in the front line and had a hand on virtually every kill attempt by the Falcons.
In the first set, the Falcons were down 7 to 1 then 20 to 6 before Central struggled with blocking. The first set ended 25 to 11.
In the second set, Catholic Memorial got out toquick start at 7 to 1 and then 19 to 2. Poor passing and hitting plaqued the Falcons losing 25 to 2
In the third set, Central played tough to the end but lost 25 to 19.
