The Kenosha County Tavern League sponsored a scavenger hunt for the Sharing Center of Paddock Lake From May 1 to Sept. 11.

Local Kenosha County taverns raised over $3,000 for the food pantry, which services close to 350 families monthly. In addition, the Sharing Center will also receive matching funds of $500 from the Tavern League of Wisconsin along with $200 from the 1st and 9th Congressional Districts.

Both Judy Sobotka, owner of the Bassett Hound, Bassett, and Jenny Collison, owner of Local Folks, Slades Corners, enthusiastically thanked all patrons who participated in the “fun” raiser hunt at the family-friendly Local Folks Restaurant on Sept. 18.

Only through fundraising efforts of organizations like the Tavern League does The Sharing Center continue to provide vital resources to empower individuals on their path to independence. Currently, the center is offering its annual Holiday Adopt-a-Family program. For more information, please call or stop by 997-0783, 7001 236th Ave., Paddock Lake.
