Salem exploring incorporation motion dies for lack of second

A motion at a Salem town electors meeting to explore incorporation “so that we can avoid losing parts of our borders to adjoining town and or villages…” failed for a lack of a second.

Some residents pointed out that  a referendum on the issue failed last month.

Resident Chris Skrynecki said if there are residents interested in investigating incorporation as volunteers, they should form a group, investigate and discuss and then report back to the board.
