The Wheatland Center School Board certified a tax levy Wednesday night with a slight decrease from last year.
The tax levy for the current year will be $3,316,651. Last year’s levy was $3,320,183. That works out to a 0.10 percent decrease.
District administrator Jason Tadlock said the levy should be welcomed by district taxpayers.
“Their (grade school) taxes won’t be going up,” Tadlock said. That would be the case if a taxpayer’s assessed value did not increase.
