A referendum gauging support for new taxes for public transportation came down firmly on the No side.
At 11:23, some votes are still being counted in Salem and Twin Lakes but with all polling places reporting at least some votes, No has 85 percent of the vote.
The referendum asked voters if they support new taxes to support mass transit or rail services. All West of the I municipalities except Brighton and Paris had the referendum on the ballot. Yes did not win in any municipality.
Here’s a municipality by municipality breakdown of the results.
