Paddock Lake Pet Parade coverage


Paddock Lake’s annual pet parade took place today, despite  a little rain.

The pets and their owners stepped off a little from Hoag Park after 10 a.m. and walked to Village Hall. There the animals’ costumes were judged and other prizes handed out. There also were treats for both the four-legged and two-legged participants.

Village Trustee Karen Harris organizes the event each year.

Those attending also got to see a demonstration by one of the Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 units. Here is some video of Deputy Chris Peck showing how his dog Harley can sniff out drugs (which he had hidden in a cabinet):
