At 5:59 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue are responding to a report of a truck on fire in the 21600 block of Highway NN, Brighton.
Reports now are that it is a grain truck. No grain on truck, however. Deputy reports that fire is well off the roadway, so traffic may not be blocked on NN.
UPDATE 6:02 p.m. — Truck is in a picked corn field. Fire rigs should be able to access by a gravel drive. Fire personnel on scene reports truck cab is fully engulfed in flames.
UPDATE 6:37 p.m. — Last fire unit leaving scene.
