Randall Fire Department to conduct training burn Sunday

The Randall Fire Department will be conducting live fire training Sunday, Oct. 17 at a farmhouse located in the 8700 block of Highway JI.

Capt. Bob Stoll, who also is the town chairman, said at Thursday’s Town Board meeting the house will be set on fire room by room as long as possible to give firefighters — especially new ones — experience with fighting live flames. The training burn is expected to begin around 8 a.m.

If the house is still standing by 3 p.m., it will then be burned to the ground by the department, Stoll said.

Neighboring departments will also be attending.
