You might see different garbage collection trucks at the end of your driveway in Salem.
That’s because the town’s contracted waste collector has been purchased by another company, town administrator Patrick Casey reported at the regular Town Board meeting Monday night.
The town had contracted with Green Valley Disposal, but that company was recently acquired by Veolia, which will assume Green Valley’s contracts.
The acquisition will not change any provisions of the town’s waste collection contract, Casey said.
