On Monday night the Central High School Falcons hosted the Bradford Red Devils and the Falcons moved to 6-0 in the Southeast Conference. On Senior Night that started out with Coach Wayne Schultz introducing the five seniors, Dayton Erickson, Justin Joerndt, Curtis Labicki, Andrew Thoss and Nick Manning, with his personal comments and best wishes for the boys.
The Falcons moved out to a quick 6-0 lead on Andrew Thoss’ opening serving run. The Falcons moved on to win the first game 25-15. The Red Devils came out with their own run to start the second set, moving out to a 4-0 lead. The Falcons answered the wakeup call and went on to win the game 25-19. The third was a near mirror image with Bradford moving out to an early lead, however they kept the final game close until senior Nick Manning went on a run to open up a lead they never relinquished and won 25-18. The Falcons were led by Dayton had 21 assists, Justin had 3 aces, Nick had 11 kills, Andrew had 2 aces 9/9 serving and Curtis had 3 digs and was 9/9 serving.
Coach Schultz said about the match:
“A good solid conference win for us tonight. It was Senior Night and I felt our seniors had a great night for us. Thanks to our five seniors.”
