At 5:51 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue units from the Trevor Station are responding to a report of tree on wire in a backyard in the 11400 block of 260th Avenue.
The tree is smoking, dispatch reports.
UPDATE 6:10 p.m. — Emergency workers are responding to several calls of downed wires and trees. Nothing too serious sounding yet.
UPDATE 6:12 p.m. — Tree partially blocking road at 344th Ave and State Line Road. Disptach says the tree is in both jurisdictions. A bi-state road hazard you might say.
UPDATE 6:30 p.m. — Just drove from Paddock Lake to Twin Lakes (for a meeting) down tree-heavy Highway F. Didn’t see a lot of damage. Rain had stopped in Twin Lakes.
