Units responding to report of crash at Highways 50 and W, Wheatland

At 12: 19 p.m., units from Town of Wheatland Fire Department, Twin Lakes Rescue and the Sheriff’s Department are responding to a report of a crash with injuries at Highways 50 and W (south), also known as Fox River Road, in Wheatland.

Dispatch says there is one back injury. Two other patients as well.

UPDATE 12:27 p.m. — Fire department personnel report to dispatch that traffic getting backed up. Two vehicles involved.

UPDATE 12:31 p.m. — One vehicle needs a flatbed tow due to broken axle.

    That intersection is dangerous to begin with, now with the construction it is just ridiculous! The speed limit has been lowed to 45 mph on Hwy 50 from Paddock Lake to Hwy P, but people are still driving like maniacs even through the construction areas.
