A motorcycle crash Thursday evening that sent one person to a Milwaukee area hospital via medical transport helicopter is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
At about 7 p.m., Robert E. Larsen, 64, of Salem as riding his Honda Goldwing westbound on Highway AH about one mile east of Highway 83.
Larsen appeared to have failed to negotiate a curve and lost control, said Sgt. Gil Benn, Sheriff’s Department spokesman. Larsen slid off the road and sustained a serious head injury.
He was transported to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee, via Flight for Life.
The crash is still under investigation, Benn said.
