Kenosha County Fair Large Animal Auction video

The Large Animal Auction took place this afternoon at the Kenosha County Fair.

The auction is the big pay-off for a year or more of work by youngsters who raised and then showed their steers, pigs and sheep at the fair. This is where their efforts are rewarded with cash.

One change this year for those bidding was a hospitality area set-up by the Livestock Sales Team. The hospitality at the show replaced the traditional buyers dinner, which used to be held a few weeks after the fair. Anyone who bought an animal at the fair was invited to the dinner.

Here is some video to give you an idea of the atmosphere at the auction:

The Small Animal Auction, featuring poultry and rabbits, takes place Sunday at the fairgrounds.
