At 1:33 p.m., units from Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Twin Lakes Rescue are responding to the report of a crash at Highway 50 and Geneva Road (Old Highway 50). Someone is reportedly entrapped in a vehicle.
UPDATE 1:42 p.m. — Flight for Life being called to scene.
UPDATE 1:51 p.m. — Silver Lake Rescue being called for mutual aid. Traffic backing up to Highway W (east of the scene) due to flashing traffic signal at scene of crash.
UPDATE 1:54 p.m. — A traffic standard is down and cannot be replaced for about an hour. Flight for Life has lifted off and is expected to arrive at the scene at about 2 p.m.
