The Lakeland Seniors baseball team has battled their way to the state championship game late this week.
Friday night Lakeland dropped a game to Verona, 7 to 1. But they came back strong in the losers bracket by defeating Menominee Falls this afternoon, 16 to 2.
That means Lakeland will play in the first of two championship games Sunday afternoon. If they win both, they are off to the regional tournament in Columbia, Mo.
