The Twin Lakes Police Department issued the following press release today:
On Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at about 4:14 p.m., a Lake County sheriff’s deputy was arrested without incident in Walworth County following a week-long investigation by the Twin Lakes Police Department and the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation began when a female complainant contacted the Twin Lakes Police Department on July 8 alleging that the 36 -year-old Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy Jack Johnson, a three-year deputy of the Sheriff’s Department, had come to her place of employment and had harassed and assaulted her.
The Twin Lakes Police Department is handling the criminal investigation, and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department is handling the internal investigation.
Johnson was charged by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office with one count of false imprisonment while armed and one count of attempted second degree sexual assault while armed, and was being held in the Kenosha County Jail.
