After receiving three bids to repave East Oak Street, the Village of Silver Lake plans to put the subject on next month’s meeting agenda to decide if the project is feasible. Bids from B.R Amon came in at $47,281.30, Payne and Dolan $49,000, and Black Diamond from Oak Creek came in at $57,000.
If approved, Trustee Chris Wilkomm hopes to lock in an interest rate for the project through People’s Bank, as well as open discussion for the repaving of nine deteriorating roads in the Village.
“We have to fix portions of Bray Drive, Park Street, 6th Street, North Street, 5th Street, North Water, North Riverside, Fox Lane, and West Oak,†he said. “And we need to get something going here like an action plan of the streets to get everything done.â€
