Registration for County Open golf tournament under way

Brighton Dale Links will play host to the 2010 Kenosha County Men’s Open Golf Tournament, Aug. 6-8.

The tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. on Friday Aug. 6 on the Red Pines and the back nine of the White Birch course. On Saturday, Aug. 8, the shotgun start will be at 7 a.m. on the Blue Spruce Course. And, finally, on Sunday Aug. 9, the start will be at 7 a.m. with straight tee times on the White Birch Course.

The field will be limited to 144 players. The field will be separated into different flights after the first two rounds based on the players scores. Prizes will be awarded for all flights and paid out in gift cards, unless the player is a professional.

The entry fee for the tournament is $150 per player, which includes three 18-hole rounds of golf with cart and prize money. Carts are included in the entry fee, but not required to play. There will also be an optional skins game for an additional $25. High school players who are not eligible for prizes will have an entry fee of $125.
