Western Kenosha County Mini-Grants available from United Way

United Way of Kenosha County (UWKC) has announced the release of its 2010 Western Kenosha County Mini-Grant Application.

Non-profit organizations that are IRS-certified as a 501c(3) health and human service provider and provide services and programs to individuals residing west of Interstate 94 are encouraged to submit a program application. Funding is available for small projects, programs and program enhancements ranging from $1,000 up to $4,000.

Organizations must demonstrate how the program and services will positively impact the lives of Western Kenosha County residents. An organization’s project/program must fall under one of UWKC’s three focus areas:

  • Basic needs.
  • Healthy people.
  • Strong families.

Although, funding is not intended to supplement programs that are currently funded by UWKC’s bi-annual grant process, depending on the uniqueness and demonstrated need, a project/program may be considered for funding.

The application period opened on July 1. All applications must be submitted and received by noon, July 29.
